Ultimate 16 Day Adventure in South Africa

South Africa

16 Day Adventure

South Africa is filled with so much beauty. I flew into Johannesburg from Toronto for a 16 day adventure. Meeting up with friends from the cruise ships and going on a safari that I will never forget. Places that I visited were, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Storms River and Jeffreys Bay.

Johannesburg

My main reason for going to Joburg was to meet up with friends from ships and it was close to Krugar Park. I spent 3 days here with Lucy, Martin while staying at Lucy’s sisters. Now I am not a big fan of cities to begin with but this is probably not a place I would come to again. I would fly in go to the suburbs and Krugar and head out.

Aside from catching up with friends this was the highlight to my vacation. Only ever seeing these beautiful creatures in a zoo, I knew I had to see them in the wild. I will say this, agree to disagree. Animals in captivity are not the same as they are in the wild. Seeing them roam in their own natural environment was mind blowing.

Here I stayed at a cute rustic home that was surrounded by lush greens. The people were so inviting and the couple I shared a room with would become amazing friends still till this day. Also a savior for what comes in J-Bay The river mouth is located in the Tsitsikamma National Park which I hiked to. This is also where I did my first Zip Lining.

Jeffreys Bay

Home of the Super Tubes and my main reason for going. Although this part of the vacation didn’t go as planned, meaning I did not expect to end up in the hospital and on crutches the remainder of my trip. I did expect to surf and have a blast and I did.

Cape Town

The cape of good hope. Breath taking views, ocean side food, Wineries and Penguins. Now that I am on crutches everything changed but I made the most of it. I also ran into a friend from the safari and got to meet up with a bestie.

This was a great way to end this incredible trip and I wouldn’t change a thing.
