This was a 10 day vacation that I took with my friend Cyndi. Just as most of my vacations, not everything went to plan. The biggest hurdle was we got there during Tropical Storm Emma, and she was nasty. Wind and rain for most of the trip but we made the best of it and I would go back in a heartbeat.
Lagos and the Southern Shore Portugal
At the most Southern part of Portugal you find this beautiful Beach town Lagos. Brick stone roads that remind me of Puerto Rico. This was our center location and where we put our feet up at night. The southern shores of Portugal were filled with large rock formations in the middle of the ocean. The roads leading you to amazing views, including where the Europeans thought the world ended.
By far this was the best part of Portugal for me. I love my history and the locals were so inviting. I only had 3 days here and it was not enough. We stayed on the west coast near Praia da Adraga, a quiet little town with spectacular views. The town of Sintra was not easy to get around but after a few laps you get your bearings.
Lisboa (Lisbon)
We were only here a couple nights but were able to see most of the city by local transit. It is very easy to get around even if you don’t speak the local language. Just like any major city you will run into tourists looking for the same thing you are. The highlight for this place was the freshly made Pastel De Nata, one of my reasons for coming to Portugal and it did not disappoint.

Plug For Portugal there are two associated plug types, C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and type F has two round pins with two earth clips on the side, you will need an adapter
Safety: It is very safe here, we never had any issues, aside from the tornado and tropical storm we were in.
