Growing up I would sit and watch these fairy tale movies of a young maiden and a prince living happily ever after. Is that reality? Probably not, but why can’t a girl and just have a small piece of it? Here are top destinations for a fairy tale proposal.

A journey around the grounds you will find a romantic palace, a chapel, fountains and fairy tale grottos. The best time to visit here is spring and autumn to avoid the heat and the crowds.

Alsace, France

Alsace France

Alsace France is a small region is in the north east corner of France bordering Germany. This area is stunning with vineyards, cobble stone streets and picturesque small towns. The town of Colmar in the spring is lit with blooming flowers to match the colorful buildings they reside on. A quaint river that runs through the town is a perfect spot. The best time to visit is from April to June.

And if you give the guards a hint to what you are doing maybe they will let you in early.

Also try to go during the week for less crowds.
